Tips for Safe Travel Amidst The COVID-19 Pandemic (Flying Safe)

Travel is a significant aspect of many of our lives, but navigating the travel process safely and efficiently has perhaps never been more challenging. MedCram Co-Founder and Producer, Kyle Allred, answers some of the most important questions regarding safe travel during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In this video, Kyle shares a presentation he gave at the National CME Conference on Wilderness and Travel Medicine. He discusses a wide variety of topics including how to navigate the CDC’s requirement to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the United States and practical strategies for planning ahead to meet this condition.

Kyle also details the importance of ventilation and filtration during travel, referencing information shared by Professor Joseph Allen in this earlier MedCram COVID-19 update. He also covers airport-specific mask wearing tips, the use of portable HEPA air purifiers, and how to utilize travel.state.gov to plan your trip safely and efficiently.
