With the release of a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it’s time for another MedCram update on the vaping-associated lung injury outbreak.
What We Knew About Vaping Associated Lung Injury
In our previous two videos regarding e-cigarette and vaping associated lung injury, we went over the initial cases of lung failure and illness and diagnosis and treatment. At that time, most of the information available was based on a couple of small reports released by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).
The Latest on the Vaping Associated Lung Injury Epidemic
The latest study from the CDC, however, provides information on chemicals found in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from 29 patients suffering from e-cigarette or vaping product use associated lung injury, now referred to as EVALI.
Watch our latest video here or as part of our FREE course, called Vaping Associated Lung Injury Explained Clearly, and find out which chemical was identified in all 29 patients, as well as some basic recommendations from the CDC regarding EVALI.
MedCram is here to help keep you informed as the EVALI story unfolds!
